“ Came here with my wife and kids and it was buzzing due to people traveling for the holidays and the playoffs. The servers were so welcoming of my crazy kids being kids. We sat next to the fireplace. We got the burger and Fries for my kids. My wife got the shrimp Alfredo. I got the New York strip. We ordered a whisky ginger, old fashion, and I got a whiskey flight. Great energy. Good people. Good food. Food: 4 Service: 5 Ambiance: 5 ”

“ Great food. The Blackened Salmon is my fave. I always get the coconut shrimp appetizer too. Atmosphere is family, even in the lounge area. Service has always been excellent in both the dining room and lounge. Prices are reasonable for a sit down restaurant. Nice views of the mountains from window tables. Worst thing about it is that it is extremely crowded on big weekends and holidays. Although I usually get seated within a half hour. They also have limited business hours in winter so not a place to hang out after dinner. Writing this makes me hungry. Will return soon. ”

“ The Oakhurst Grill saved my birthday! They were able to get 10 of us in and seated within 30 minutes, without reservations!! From the hostess to our servers, the staff was really wonderful. I have to admit I was so impressed with our server who memorized 10 orders without writing a thing down. Super kudos to him, nothing was incorrect. He got it all down. We started off with the coconut shrimp, the fried artichokes heart, and apparently a huge pretzel. That was one of the most magnificent things I've seen on a table. Coconut shrimp was awesome, it was crispy and hot, and just enough coconut in the matter. Dipping sauce was tangy and a perfect accompaniment. Artichoke hearts, One of my favorites always and they do them very nicely here. They're a good size, not the itty-bitty little pieces you get some places. The pretzel was warm and perfectly chewy. The presentation was really really cool. There was nothing left of the appetizers before main courses came out. I had the brace, short rib, pasta, and I will be ordering that again next time I am there. It was so perfectly done. The short rib was fork, tender, the pasta cooked just right and the sauce was just rich and sumptuous. The slices of bread on the side were made fresh and they were warm and Chewy with a crunchy crust. The Cobb salad was served next to me at it was devoured, and looked like a wonderful iteration of a Cobb salad. I did snag a bite of the fish and chips, very crunchy, and the fish was cooked perfectly. I don't think there was a single negative thing to say about the entire experience. They took care of a large party, they handled us with kindness and smiles. One thing of note here, their chairs are so comfortable. And they are on wheels... And I really just want to have a chair race there, but I will behave like an adult and restrain myself! You always know the place is good when the locals go there time and time again. We are in the area enough that we will be visiting this place much more frequently. Thank you Oakhurst grill for a really great birthday in 2025. ”

“ Fancy steakhouse. Great view. Lovely ambiance. Friendly staff. Great photo op with the bear and the Statue of Liberty for the young ones. Decent portions. Decent taste. We arrived super hungry from Yosemite and this restaurant did the trick of satisfying our hunger. Thank you! ”

“ The staff made our experience so special. They were so kind, which is so rare these days. We enjoyed an ice cold beer and Mai tai. The Mai tai was better then some I experienced in kauai. The view of the hills and town were so nice to experience as the sun was setting. Dinner was delicious. We had the jambalaya pasta, trailer park fries, and steak bites. All were very enjoyable and highly recommend. Overall would be back again, hoped soon. ”

“ In a small town this place stands above the rest. The giant wooden statute of liberty in the front sets the tone for the fun you'll have. I ordered the grilled cheese with tomato soup. I was delighted to find out the tomato soup is not made with chicken stock, and is therefore vegetarian. The waitress was very kind to check for me. We also ordered the garlic rosemary fries and could not stop eating them. If you get anything, get the fries. Several people tried whiskey flights - some were hits and misses but it was a fun experience to try four different kinds. I got the blackberry lemon drop and it was a huge highlight of the meal for me - not syrupy and over sugary at all. Fresh lemon and blackberry. ”

“ Stopped in here for a drink. Loved the beer on tap selection. Blood orange is one of my favs. If you like whiskey, this is the place, lots of whiskey to choose from. Staff super nice. “ We spent a beautiful Tuesday in Yosemite Park, enjoying the views and riding bikes. By the time we got back to Oakhurst, where we were staying, we were hungry. Unfortunately, many places in Oakhurst were closed that day, but we had a few options and I chose Oakhurst Grill and Whiskey 41 Lounge. I was curious to try the coconut shrimp with a good glass of wine. I was hoping to be seated outside, but there was a line and no choice, so we settled inside. Our waitress was nice, though I was a bit frustrated when, while I was deciding on the wine, my husband went ahead and ordered a burger, fries, shrimp, and steak bites (which I asked him to order in the last moment). We ended up with double fries, which was a bit much. In my opinion, the waitress should have checked if we knew the burger came with fries. She didn't. Anyway, the food was beautifully presented. My husband enjoyed his burger, the French fries were crispy, and the steak bites paired deliciously with the wine. We were happy with the meal overall, except for the excess fries and the coconut shrimp, which I didn't enjoy--maybe it's just my taste buds, but the coconut flavor was too strong for me. In conclusion, I would return to this place but would be careful with what and how much I order. The portions are huge, so one dish is probably enough! ”
